One Easter mother & daddy had gotten each of usgirls a colored chicken. When they reached a certain age we took themout to Aunt Ruby & Uncle Dave's farm so they could finish raising them.The next thing I remember is sitting at Aunt Ruby's table for a HUGEfeast - you guessed it - fryed chicken! A Tribute published in the pages of THE HERALD FREE PRESS; BOLIVAR, MO.Mar 2, 1977 MEMORIAL OBITUARY; Entered Into Eternal Rest; Sunday, Feb. 27, 1977 MRS. DAVID A. ANDERSON Mrs. David A. (Ruby) Anderson, 72, Dunnegan, died at 6:30p.m. Sundayin Polk Community Hospital in Humansville after a long illness. She wasa member of Fair Play Methodist Church and a resident of the Fair Playand Dunnegan communities for the past 20 years. Survivors are herhusband, David A., of the home; a son, Eauclair, of Kearney, Neb.; twodaughters, Mrs. Viloa Marlin, Marshfield, and Mrs. Nellie Mudd, of thestate of Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Hockman, Edgar, Neb., and Mrs.Faye Boyd, Ansley, Neb.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.Funeral services were held Wed., March 3, 1977, in the Pitts Chapel withthe Rev. Lewis Mead and the Rev. Lowell Mize officiating. Burial was inthe Marshfield Cemetery under the direction of the Pitts Funeral Home ofBolivar. Escorts were Lannie Potts, Jack Williams, George Lovell,Wilburn Erwin, Gayles Mustain and Lyle Snodgrass. THEY ARE NOT LOST WHO FIND THE LIGHT OF SUN AND STARS AND GOD. REST INPEACE
