Looking for ggrandparents Hugh SLOWEY and Johanna FARRELL. Johanna b.(c.1836 Canada West). Parents were Andrew and Mary FARRELL, listed ascoming from Ireland in 1850 Census. Johanna had brothers James andAndrew (both served in 45th Infantry Company A in Civil War), WilliamAnd Michael. Hugh SLOWEY had a daughter Catherine, listed in 1850 asliving with a Barney MCCARTHY family in Woodland Township, CarrollCounty. She m. Michael LYNCH who d.1862 in the Civil War. Hugh andJohanna took out an unreturned marriage license on Aug.19,1852 fromMt.Carroll. They moved to Lyons, Ia., Clinton County somewhere aroundlate 1850's. They had five children, Elizabeth, Peter b.1861, Andrewb.1867, Mary b.1865, William b.1867, and Mary Jane b.1870. She marriedtwice, first to Thomas TUCKER, d.1895,and second to M.D.CARROLL and livedin Savanna. Any info on any of these families would be greatlyappreciated..
