T. H. GADBERRY
Thomas Henry Gadberry, son of the late Thomas and Sarah Gadberry was bomFebruary 3, 1873 near Moscow Mills, where he spent the greater part ofhis life, with the exception of a few years in Louisiana, A4o.
He departed this life at his home in Moscow NElls, March 20, 1941 at theage of 68 years, I month and 12 days.
November 8, 1894, he was united in marriage to Miss Mabel Myrick. To thisunion 4 children were bom. One son Forrest preceded him in death severalyears ago. He leaves to moum his departure his companion, 3 daughters,Dodie now Mrs Sherman Oliver of Louisiana; Melrose, now Mrs William Goos,of St. Louis; and Nellie, now Mrs Kenneth Pine, also of Louisiana; 3grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Mrs Laura Rose, of Moscow Mifls and MrsMary Lynch, of Frankford.
Mr Gadberry began service with the C. B. & Q. R. R. in 1904 andsuccessfully filled this position until 1937 when he retired. He was amember of the Methodist Church and lived a devout Christian life.Believing in progress, he was always willing to put forth every effort tomake his town a better place to live. He loved his fhends and truehospitality was the keynote of his home.
Mr. Gadberry was a great lover of flowers and took much pride in hisflower garden. Just recently he remarked to a ffiend, "Spring is myfavorite season, when the trees begin budding and the flowers bloon@ng. "
He was a devoted husband and father and a good neighbor and he will besadly missed by relatives and fiiends.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Moscow Methodist Church,conducted by Rev. B. H. Harvey and burial was in the Mghland PrairieCenietery.
We'll meet beyond life's swelling flood, never to say farewell. Redeemedand washed in Jesus'blood never to say farewell. Earttfs long long nightwill pass away, dissolving into heavenly day, and we shall with our lovedone stay, never to say farewell.
