Note
|
Harold served in the Army in WWII. He was part of the invasion of Okanowa, Japan. My He and my son were watching the History channel documentary on the Battle and He started crying. Through his tears he said the the uncredited soldier responsible for saving more than 1000 men was him. Harold met Elener In 1947. My mom was dating 8 men, all named Harold. My dad showed up at her house to take her to a dance in his Cowboy outfit and mom said she was not going to go with him. Dad was 6' 220 lbs and mom was 5/1 98 lbs. Dad puthis arm around her waist, picked her up and put her in the trunk of his 36 Chevy Coup. He drove her to the Dance, stopped the dance, invited every one out to see the prize he had in the trunk. He popped the trunk and there she was, madder thana hellcat. That evening he proposed, and she accepted. |
