1928 October 8 to 2013 May 30 Born in and always drawn to Owen Sound, Ontario, Bud worked and raised his family in Hamilton. He applied his training as a watchmaker to the construction and maintenance of instrumentation at Stelco and served in several specialist and leadership roles over a 37 year career. Bud was a devoted and supportive husband and father, making possible his family's active membership in the St Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Church community. Bud loved flowers and trees, and fixing machines of all kinds and he had a deep interest in Canadian and ancient history. Bud is survived by his wife Daria (nee Krystanowych), daughter Kristine (Martin Edwards), son Taras (Marilyn Kendall) and much loved grandchildren Michael, Annika and Lisa. Bud will be at Truscott, Brown and Dwyer, 1309 King Street East, Hamilton, Ontario(opposite Gage Park, at the Delta) 905-549-2417, on Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Orthodox Cathedral of St Vladimir's Church, (855 Barton St. East, Hamilton) on Monday, June 3 at 10 am. Interment to follow at St. Volodymr's Cemetery, Oakville. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial offerings be made to Ukrainian Social Services, St Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Hamilton or the Alzheimer's Society of Canada. |
