Note
|
Bill served with the Cameron Highlanders of Canada, He served in France, had his picture taken in Paris with all his buddies and sent his mom and Fay cards from Belgium and France 1917 & 1918, Christmas. Someone in the family has all of the pictures that go along with this story. The boat that brought him home from the war in 1919 was called RMS Baltic, it was 725 ft by 75 feet and weighed 23,876 tonnes. When Bill came home from the war, he went to Peace River Country. The deal fell through and he only stayed a year, probably about 1920. They had horses, hounds and often had fish for breakfast. They slept in a tent. |
