Deceased Name: Lois Anderson Cook UT United States
Lois Anderson Cook 1917 ~ 2008 Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Lois Anderson Cook, age 91 of Cedar Fort passed away August 7, 2008.

She was born July 11, 1917 in Cedar Fort, Utah to Wallace and Mary Berry Anderson. She was the oldest of four girls. Lois attended school in Cedar Fort and graduated from Lehi High School. She married her high school sweetheart, John L. Cook in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in Cedar Fort where they raised three children, Wally, Melvyn and Marlene.

She retired from Tooele Army Depot after 30 years of service. Lois was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many ward and stake callings. She has contributed much to the successful functions in Cedar Fort, both civic and religious. For many years she originated plays and programs so the Primary children could have the experience of participation in such events. She would spend countless hours in a very cold gym rehearsing and directing the youth of Cedar Fort. Costumes, plays and scenery made only part of her contributions. Lois was loved and respected by all who knew her; she loved her family and enjoyed her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids very much.

Lois is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sharon Cook, daughter, Marlene (Duane) Allen, son, Melvyn Cook, all of Cedar Fort; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sister, Ora Petersen, American Fork; and brother-in-law, Doug Peterson, Cedar Fort. Preceded in death by husband, John L. Cook, son, Wally Cook, grandson, Wade Cook, two sisters, Verda Peterson and Reva Blackhurst.

Special thanks for the loving and caring staff at Greenwood Manor, nurses, Pam and Mary Jean from Applegate Hospice and everyone who helped care for her in any way. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Cedar Fort LDS Chapel at 11 a.m. Family and friends may call Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service on Wednesday at the church. Interment Cedar Fort City Cemetery. Online guestbook at wingmortuary.com
