Note	Thomas Corfield graduated from Oxford University and became a barrister, returning to live at Chatwall Hall and became churchwarden at Cardington in 1717. During his life he greatly devalued possessions of the family and cut down most of the timber in the nearby park. The remainder was sold, with Chatwall Hall, in 1730 to his brother Richard whose daughter and heiress Anne carried it to the Rawlins family, who in turn sold it in 1799 to the Barker family.
