Note	Professor Stoy's letter says that Henry Channing, also of Paul Street, was at John's death. He also confirms that John was a Butcher. John's baptism is in Thulbear Parish register 1750-1813. Inn keeper cir 1841 (Royal Marine, Silver St, Taunton, Somerset, England). In the 1841 census, he has a Sarah living with him who is not his daughter. His wife and family are with him, but Sarah and Henry are away. 1839 Taunton Directory have a John in the Royal Marine.
