Note
|
John Harold Bamford was born on the 26th of June 1900, at 7 Church Square, Harrowgate, England. On the 6th of October 1927, at Ballywillan Presbyterian Church, he married Dorothy Law, fifth daughter of Dr. William K. Law, a medical practitioner in Coleraine (he was the brother of Andrew Bonar Law, the Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1922 to 1923). John carried on his father's grocery business in Portrush for many years. Like his father, and grandfather before him, he was treasurer for the congregation of Portrush Presbyterian Church for about 27 years. He retired from business in 1963 and moved to live on the Malone Road, Belfast. He died on the 23rd of March 1985. He and Dorothy had at least one son. |
