Ray Frank Gricar Ray Frank Gricar is the former Republican District Attorney for Centre County, Pennsylvania. He was listed as a missing person in April 2005, after taking the day off to possibly travel to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Gricar’s car, a red Mini Cooper, was discovered abandoned in a parking lot in Lewisburg. His keys, wallet, and sunglasses were missing. The car was opened by authorities and, though Gricar was not a smoker, discovered to have the faint smell of smoke and trace amounts of cigarette ash in it. This missing person case is widely regarded as one of the strangest cases in Pennsylvania history due to the lack of any usable evidence and Gricar’s impending retirement after several terms in office.
