Note	Apparently Sarah Alice's Mother, Sophia Mary Webb was unable to look after her. She was looked after by Thomas Hitchen and his wife Harriet who were Farmers as a Nurse Child which means adopted or fostered but it is unlikely that there was any formal or legal arrangement. Some say she was passed over a pub bar counter. Just before she married Thomas Spencer, she locked her mother Sophia and half sister Margaret in a bedroom and took furniture. This may be to do with the way she was treated.
