Ernest (Jack) Burrell
Ernest (Jack) Burrell
View individual — Ernest (Jack) Burrell

Note: He worked for Bellaby’s in Westcott and lived above a garage with his family. Hart’s took over and after an argument over his prized marrow in 1934, he moved to Little Deepdene Lodge, Moore’s Road, Dorking, where he worked as the gardener for The Deepdene. He used to summon the workers by ringing a bell in the tower at the bottom of his garden and a secret tunnel that began at the bottom of the tower led to the main house.
